Frequently Asked Questions

Are Lots to Say Baby pacifiers BPA-free? TOP

YES!  In January of 2009, Lots to Say Baby began offering a BPA-free pacifier.  After researching the issue at length and listening to feedback from our customers, we felt this was an important step in ensuring we are always providing our customers with a fun, functional and safe product.

Are your pacifiers safe? TOP

YES! All Lots to Say Baby products meet the Consumer Products Safety Commission regulations (16 C.F.R. Part 1511).  LTSB also fully complies with the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008.

Copies of the testing results as well as our certificate of conformity are available upon request by emailing erin@lotstosaybaby.com.

Will using a pacifier interfere with breastfeeding? TOP
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends waiting to introduce a pacifier until your baby is 1 month old or until breast-feeding is well established.  Also, the First Candle SIDS prevention organization recommends using a pacifier at nap and bedtimes during the first year.

Will a pacifier clip work with my Lots To Say Baby Pacifier? TOP
Yes! Clips such as the BinkiGrip (www.sippigrip.com) work perfectly with our pacifiers.  Just thread the holder through the hole on the pacifier shield and you are ready to go!  The clips that include a ring to be placed around the knob also fit our pacifiers.  Use caution with pacifier clips.   Never use a string or strap long enough to get caught around your baby's neck.

When should I replace my pacifier? TOP
While our pacifiers are made with the highest level of materials and can withstand normal wear and tear, it is important that you check to make sure there are no signs of deterioration. A worn or cracked nipple can tear off and pose a choking hazard.

Are Lots To Say Baby pacifiers dishwasher safe? TOP

YES! Just place them in the basket that you use to wash bottle nipples and caps. You can also sterilize your pacifier by boiling it.

How do I clean my pacifier? TOP

  • Top Rack Dishwasher
